Dirt Bike, 4×4, or mixed-vehicle expedition.
A tour that takes you back in time to a land long lost at the Angkorian temples of Siem Reap and Preah Vihear. An opportunity to be one of the last people to be allowed to camp inside an Angkorian Temple, that of Preah Khan. And then down to the off-shore islands off the coast of Sihanoukville, as yet untouched and undeveloped.
Preah Khan Temple
Third biggest temple of the Angkorian period and the most remote. Recently cut from the jungle but still without major road access, so lacking in visitors or infrastructure. A truly lost temple in the wilds, surrounded by woodland full of birds.
Camping in an Angkorian Temple
An opportunity not to be missed while it is still available. Preah Vihear and Koh Ker have both had new roads built to them which have yet to affect the number of people visiting them but time waits for no man and one day this area will be almost as busy as the temples of Siem Reap and camping in them will be out of the question. Catch it while you can.
The world famous Angkorian temples in Siem Reap. A city of ancient temples including the world’s largest religious monument, Angkor Wat.
The Mekong River Road
From Phnom Penh to Kompong Cham and then thru the rubber plantations to Kompong Thom.
Kirrirom National Park
Heavily wooded, full of birds and at an elevation pleasantly cool.
The Islands off Sihanoukville
Beach action, Cambodia style. The islands are paradise lost. Scuba diving off the tropical islands is available for those with the relevant qualifications. Snorkeling from the dive boat over tropical reefs.
