Established in 1908 by the French, Kep is a small, quiet beachside town with great seafood and ocean views. The town is just 25 kilotetres from Kampot and is usually done as a day trip. Spend the afternoon overlooking the ocean with fresh crab and cold beer. As with Sihanoukville the beaches are somewhat uninspiring on the main land but paradise lost on the islands. The last couple of years Kep has also seen an explosion of in the number of Guest Houses and Restaurants being built.
